Using this website is under the condition that all following terms and conditions are unreservedly accepted. If the user disagrees with some or all terms and conditions of this webpage/eshop, then such user must refrain from using it. Otherwise use of the website and placement of order means that he has unreservedly accepted all of its terms and conditions.


Our company

The company under the name “VETUS HELLAS LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY” with registered offices in Piraeus, 7 Akti Moutsopoulou (telephone 210 4135531) owns an e-shop for the presentation and sale of products through the Internet. The e-shop is active under the URL www.vetus.gr


  1. Execution of agreement

Placement of an order equals with addressing a proposal to VETUS for the purchase of the products included in the order. Orders can be placed either via telephone or through this e-shop. Upon placement of an electronic order you shall receive a confirmation e-mail that we have received your order which shall include the information of your order (Order Confirmation E-mail)

Order Confirmation E-mail is an acknowledgment that we have received your order and does not confirm acceptance of your proposal for the purchase of the products ordered. Following confirmation of your order you shall receive an e-mail for the acceptance or rejection of your order as well as with an estimation of delivery time (Execution Commencement E-mail).

A sale purchase agreement is then executed between you and VETUS.

Notwithstanding withdrawal rights mentioned under clause 2 below you may cancel your order with no penalty any time before receiving the Execution Commencement E-mail for your order.

The user consents to receiving sales invoices via electronic means. For each delivery you shall be notified if an invoice is available in electronic form in the Order Confirmation E-mail. For any further information regarding invoices in electronic form and the procedure for receiving them in hard copies, you may contact us.


  1. Right to withdraw – Product returns
    1. Vetus operates according to legislation regulating distance agreements ie. law 2251/1994 for the consumers’ protection and more specifically articles 3, 3a, 3b, 3d -3ic, which set out the conditions and procedure to be applied in case an agreement is executed in distance, as well as in accordance with all other provisions of the aforementioned law.
    2. The user can withdraw from the agreement within 14 calendar days and this deadline begins once the user receives the products.
    3. You must examine the quantity and condition of the products upon delivery and if there is a defect you must notify us within 48 hours following their receipt. If products are indeed defective, VETUS shall replace them, with no additional charge, or shall proceed with refund, as per legal provisions. Unless you notify us within the aforementioned deadline, then products are considered in proper condition and explicitly and unreservedly accepted by the user.


  1. Consequences of exercising the right to withdraw

If you cancel your order or withdraw from it, as per clause 2 above, VETUS shall make a refund for the products in question within a maximum deadline of fourteen (14) calendar days following receipt of your withdrawal statement. Refund shall take place with the same means used for making the payment of the initial transaction, unless you explicitly state that you wish to use different means. In all circumstances there will be no additional charge for making the refund.

In case of withdrawal you shall bear return costs and expenses made by Vetus for shipping the products. Returns shall be accepted only if products are in the same condition with the one received, i.e. without being opened or unsealed along with the accompanying documents and the sales invoice.

It is noted that VETUS can withhold refund until we receive the returned products or until the user provides evidence that he has sent them back, whichever happens first.


  1. Delivery time and shipping costs

VAT (currently 24%) is included in the prices mentioned in the website and the transaction currency is Euro. Prices do not include shipping costs.

For certain areas in Greece a lower VAT applies and if your order is accompanied by a business invoice then prices shall be lower than the ones mentioned in the website because of the reduced VAT rate. The difference in the price due to reduced VAT does not appear during or upon completing your order.

Prices can be modified without prior notice, while in any case the price becomes final upon placing an electronic order and receiving confirmation thereof.

We register availability information for the products on sale through the website for each product as well as its information sheet. Except for those mentioned on the page or anywhere else on the website, we cannot be more accurate for their availability. While processing your order an e-mail shall be sent to you as soon as possible in case some of the ordered products are finally not available and there will be no charge for these products.

Please note that unless otherwise stated, estimated delivery times must be perceived as such. These are not guaranteed times of delivery and you must not count on their absolute accuracy.

Even though VETUS makes all reasonable efforts for the precise presentation of information, characteristics and product prices mentioned on the website, typo or technical errors in prices and products’ characteristics is possible to exist.


  1. Shipment and payment methods

Upon making an electronic purchase you may select to receive your order via courier service, with transportation company for shipments outside Attiki and certain areas in Attiki that are out of the service network as well as for your option to receive them from our premises, in which case we shall let you know when your order is fully executed.

Products with big weight or size cannot be sent via courier and in that case we shall contact you to arrange shipment method.

For orders of more than 100 euro and delivery in Athens and Piraeus, Vetus undertakes to deliver them free of charge within 3 business days.

There are two options available for making payments either in cash upon delivery (only for deliveries via courier or deliveries within the service network of our own transportation means) or by bank deposit.

Shipment costs shall be estimated upon placing an order and shall be noted in a separate field.


  1. Delay in delivery

The delivery of the products may be delayed for the following reasons:

  1. Failure to contact the customer

In case we are unable to contact you via telephone or e-mail or in case the user delays to provide data and information requested by Vetus for the performance of its obligations

  1. Force majeure

If unpredictable and extraordinary events, beyond the parties’ control (indicatively war, riots, disruption of telecommunication services etc.) do not allow completion and/or delivery of agreed services.

  1. Products’ guarantee

Product guarantees are those of the official representatives in Greece and their service takes place at the main or authorized service centers throughout Greece. Guarantee is valid for the duration mentioned in the specifications of each product and is effective starting on the purchase date. In case of a guarantee claim, the customer must possess the invoice or receipt and the following conditions must be met: purchase date must not be overdue, product must be installed and used correctly, maintenance and cleaning must take place regularly. Product guarantee covers the cost of the faulty spare parts (mentioned in the manual) needed for the correct function of the product and if replacement does not suffice it then covers the complete cost for a new product, excluding shipment costs or labor costs for installation.


  1. Terms and amendments

Vetus reserves the right to unilaterally modify or update these terms and conditions. Any amendment shall be notified through the e-shop website. Vetus also reserves the right to change the content of the website (indicatively price, availability, photographs, description etc.) without prior warning.

All users are subject to the terms and conditions valid at the time of placing an order, unless the aforementioned amendments are required by law or government’s order (in which case amendments make be effective for orders already placed but not yet completed).

If any clause hereof is to be found unlawful, it ceases to be valid and shall be removed herefrom while the remaining clauses shall remain unaffected.


  1. Transactions security

When making transactions with your debit or credit cart you are directly transferred to a safe and encrypted environment 128 bit encryption SSL (Secure Socket layer) of Piraeus Bank. SSL protocol ensures that all data exchanged between the user and the server winbank paycenter are encrypted and cannot be stolen.

VETUS acknowledges the importance of the protection of personal data as well as that of security of transactions and takes all required measures using the most current and advanced methods so as to assure the maximum possible security. All information related to your personal data and transaction is safe and confidential.

While placing an online order you shall be requested to provide personal information (name, last name, address, telephone etc.). Your personal data shall be solely used for the completion of the orders and for contacting you and no one else other than our authorized personnel shall have access to it. All your personal data are secured and under no circumstances are they disclosed or published except as otherwise provided in Law or required by authorities.

Vetus -e-shop shall protect personal data received while browsing this website and complies with national and European legislation related to the protection of personal data.

Identifiers used is your username (e-mail or other) as well as your personal password, which once inserted shall provide you with access to your personal data under conditions of maximum security. You can change your password and e-mail as often as you wish. The only person with access to your data is you through the aforementioned keys and you are solely responsible for keeping them confidential and secret from third parties. In case of loss or disclosure you must notify us immediately otherwise our e-shop cannot be held liable in case any unauthorized person uses your secret keys. For safety reasons, it is highly recommended that you change your password often and avoid the use of similar and easy to guess passwords (e.g. date of birth).

To assure confidentiality of data transfer we use encryption protocol SSL-128bit. This system has been certified by COMODO CA Limited, which is specialized in transaction security.


  1. Minors

We do not provide and sell services to minors (persons under 18 years of age). If you are minors, you are not allowed to use the e-shop except under the supervision and consent of a parent or a legal guardian. In any case, guardians are solely responsible for the use of this website by minors.


  1.  Our liability

VETUS cannot be held liable (a) for damages not attributed to VETUS or (b) for any professional damage (including material damage (damnum emergens and lucrum cessans), losses of profits, good will loss etc.) or (c) direct or indirect damages that could not be predicted either by you or us when concluding an agreement for the sale of products.

Certain national legislations do not allow some of the limitation set out above. If such legislation is applicable then some limitation may not apply and you will be awarded with additional rights.

These terms and conditions do not exclude or limit our liability in case of false statements made by us or in case of death or injure caused by our fault or negligence.

VETUS is not liable for any delay or inability to perform obligations undertaken hereto if such delay or inability are attributed to reasons beyond our control. This does not affect your right to receive the ordered products within reasonable time.


  1.  Non – exercise of rights

If Vetus does not insist on the compliance with paragraphs, clauses, conditions or provisions of these Terms and Conditions, such behavior shall not be considered waive of rights, present or future.

  1.  Applicable law – Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions are construed and interpreted according to the Laws of Greece while the UN Convention for the International Sales of Goods shall not apply. Any dispute arising out of their application shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Athens (Greece). ΤThe aforementioned agreement for jurisdiction is not exclusive solely for claims deriving from the legislation for consumers’ protection which means that consumers may raise their claims either before the Courts of Athens (Greece) or before those of the EE country where they have permanent residence.
